Pity the brood box and the super wasn't rebated
I purchased the flat packed National hive. No instructions but a quick YouTube gave me the best assembly method. Be aware there are 2 different sizes in height of fram rails, 2 are higher than the other 4. I presumed the 2 higher were for the brood box and the 4 slightly lower were for the 2 super boxes. I had to remove one and replace it as the frames sat to low on one side. It's a good strong hive now painted. I made my own landing board but you can get this as an add on from Donegal bees. However unless you are really good at DIY go for the ready assembled option, it took me longer to nail all the frames together than building the actual hive (nail gun would be handy). For my hive #2 I will be paying the extra €s for assembled. I definitely recommend this hive. It may need ventilation in the roof we will see in the spring when I get some Irish black bees.😁🐝
I've been using Donnegal Bees for at least 10 years. Their product are good, service is first class and delivery always prompt. Or where a delay 2as occurring( as on this occasion) a full explanation provided with updated delivery dates.

Very clear and good layout, plenty of space!
Good service and very good foundation
Extremely easy to use with gloves on. Light and compact. I usually add a bit of bright coloured electrical tape to mine to make it easier to find if dropped on the grass, so maybe an idea for the manufacturer to add something colourful to it.
